CAMEROON’S INDEPENDENCE HAS BEEN COMPROMISED A FAKE NATION
By Dr. Tata Fon Emmanuel
A Constitution of Lies and Betrayal
Yesterday, I took the time to read the 1972 (rev. 2008) Cameroon Constitution, and I could not even complete the preamble before frustration took over. Every line was a betrayal, every phrase was a mockery of reality, and every article was a clear reminder that Cameroon is not independent.
The government of Cameroon has demonstrated absolute disregard for the social contract it has with its people. It does not see Cameroonians as citizens with rights but rather as subjects, as slaves, and itself as the master.
Paul Biya and his regime have sold Cameroon’s sovereignty, compromised its independence, and turned the nation into a neo-colonial playground for France and multinational corporations. Cameroonians must wake up. The military must take its constitutional responsibility.
1️⃣ Cameroon’s Political Independence is a Lie
The constitution says Cameroon is independent, but let’s ask ourselves: What is independence when your president answers to a foreign country?
🚨 EVIDENCE 1: Paul Biya Reports to France
Cameroon’s president does not make independent decisions. His economic, political, and military moves are dictated from Paris.
When France needs him to act, he obeys—even at the expense of Cameroonians.
Biya is France’s best student, always ready to serve French interests over his own people.
🚨 EVIDENCE 2: France is Writing Cameroon’s History
Instead of letting Cameroonians write their own history, Biya invited French historians to “help” document France’s crimes in Cameroon.
A true leader would have allowed Cameroonian scholars to write history independently, then sent the findings to France for commentary.
This proves Cameroon is not in control of its own narrative—France is.
🚨 EVIDENCE 3: Cameroonians Are Still Dying Under Biya’s Watch
Massacres are ongoing in 2025—millions displaced, thousands dead, thousands suffering, and yet Biya does nothing.
Even an illiterate leader could have ended the war in the Northwest and Southwest. But Biya allows it to continue—because war has become a business.
The regime profits from death. The military should know that there will be no one to cover their crimes, just as no one is covering France’s crimes today.
👉 If Cameroon were truly independent, why are Cameroonians still living as prisoners under a dictatorship?
2️⃣ Economic Sovereignty: Stolen from the People
🚨 EVIDENCE 4: Cameroon’s Natural Resources Are Sold to Foreigners
Cameroon has enough natural gas to power the entire country, but we still import fuel at outrageous costs.
Instead of using our 175.125 billion cubic meters of natural gas, the regime makes sure we remain dependent on foreign oil.
🚨 EVIDENCE 5: France Controls Cameroon’s Agriculture
Agents were sent to Cameroon to destroy our natural seeds, infecting them with GMOs to ensure we always depend on foreign corporations for seeds.
Instead of empowering IRAD to produce and multiply local seeds, the regime makes sure big pharmaceutical corporations control the market.
Cameroonian farmers are now plantation workers, growing food for foreign corporations instead of for their own people.
👉 A country that does not control its food and energy supply is NOT independent.
3️⃣ The Biya Regime Pretends to Promote Import Substitution While Destroying Local Industry
🚨 EVIDENCE 6: The Fake Import Substitution Policy
The regime signed a deal with the EU to reduce import duties for 15 years, making foreign goods cheaper while killing local industries.
They frustrate local entrepreneurs, impose heavy taxes, and create endless bureaucratic roadblocks—all to ensure Cameroon remains a nation of importers, not producers.
They block Cameroonians from adding value to raw materials, but allow foreigners to exploit them freely.
👉 Why does Biya fear Cameroonians developing their own industries? Because a strong economy would make the people independent—and dictators fear independent people.
4️⃣ Education: A System Designed to Keep Cameroonians Ignorant
🚨 EVIDENCE 7: Cameroonian Students Are Not Allowed to Study Their Own Country
Students studying geography in 2025 are still forced to use case studies from Norway, Sweden, Ghana, and Nigeria—but never Cameroon.
This is deliberate. The regime does not want young Cameroonians to understand their own natural resources, their potential, or their power.
They have made sure the education system produces blind followers, not thinkers.
👉 How can a country be independent when its own youth are trained to know more about foreign lands than their own?
5️⃣ Law Enforcement: Soldiers of Oppression, Not Defenders of the People
The police, gendarmerie, and military see Cameroonians as enemies, not as fellow citizens.
Repression, violence, intimidation—this is the daily experience of ordinary Cameroonians.
In a true democracy, you are innocent until proven guilty. In Cameroon, you are guilty until proven innocent.
🚨 EVIDENCE 8: The Gendarmerie is a Colonial Force
Why did Biya not rebrand the gendarmerie after independence?
Why does the force still act as if it is protecting French citizens, not Cameroonians?
The police are more concerned with defending the regime than defending the people.
👉 If Cameroon were truly independent, its law enforcement would serve the people—not the regime.
6️⃣ The Military’s Role in Restoring True Independence
The Cameroonian Constitution is clear:
Sovereignty belongs to the people.
When a government no longer serves the people, it loses its legitimacy.
The military has a duty to protect national sovereignty.
🚨 EVIDENCE 9: Biya Has Amended the Constitution for His Own Power
He changed the constitution to remain in power indefinitely.
Elections are a joke, votes do not count, and opposition voices are silenced.
The military has a duty to protect the Constitution, not a dictator.
👉 The people and the military have a constitutional duty to restore the sovereignty of Cameroon. The current regime has failed. It has sold Cameroon’s independence. It has betrayed its people. It must go.
7️⃣ The Way Forward: How to Take Back Cameroon
1️⃣ End French Economic Control
Cancel harmful trade deals.
Nationalize resources.
2️⃣ Reclaim Agricultural Sovereignty
Ban foreign control over Cameroonian seeds.
Invest in local farming and food processing.
3️⃣ End Political Slavery
Ban foreign interference in governance.
Dismantle the colonial security structure.
4️⃣ A Military for the People, Not a Dictator
The military must uphold its constitutional duty to defend the people, not Biya.
5️⃣ Unite and Resist
Mass mobilization must force regime change.
Citizens and soldiers must take responsibility to end dictatorship.
