General Bouba Dobekreo says the Military and Civilian Forces must march in Bamenda despite the Ambazonia ban.
A top colonial Cameroun military officer in war-torn Bamenda, General Bouba Dobekreo, has confirmed that the Cameroun Government has Civilian Forces in Bamenda who are working with Cameroun military forces, and both of them shall ensure the smooth and successful celebration of the 2026 activities of the National Day celebrations in Bamenda.
Colonel Bouba Dobekreo was speaking to a Bamenda-based BBC reporter, Frederic Takang, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, monitored in Abuja, Nigeria.
The acceptance of the existence of Government Civilian Forces is big news, given that the population in Bamenda have for years been wondering whether the daily kidnapping of civilians for ransom, ” killing and dumping of corpses” of civilians were really the works of the Ambazonia state Army fighting for the freedom of the homeland?
General Bouba Dobekreo’s BBC honest declaration of ” Civilian Forces in Bamenda” not Vigilante groups is surely going to shame Ambazonia Elites and Black legs or traitors who have always tag most killings, broad day light attacks and robbery on banks in Bamenda, assassinations of business men, attacks in schools on Ambazonia state army, whereas these acts are carried out by Government soldiers in civilian attires- what today General Bouba Dobekreo has openly describes as ” Civilian Forces”.
Worthy to note that the federal government of the Southern Cameroons -Ambazonia in exile has banned the celebration of such a day of assimilation across Ambazonia. This ban is being reinforced by the Ambazonia State army – ASA, following a 3-day ghost town enforced since Monday, May 18 till May 20th at dusk.
