The ruthless la republique du Cameroun – Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) has strengthened its military footprint in the conflict-ridden Ambazonia\s Southern zone with the construction and inauguration of two new military camps on February 7. The new installations are located in Ekona, within the Muyuka LGA, and Ombe, in the Tiko LGA both in Fako County.
According to the colonial army, these camps are part of efforts of the annexationist regime to counteract the valiant Ambazonia state army – ASA fighting against the la republique of Cameroun military, which remains loyal to the annexationist junta in Yaoundé.
These new deployments add to previous reinforcements in the zone to keep the southern Cameroonians under perpetual captivity and enslavement in their ancestral homeland. In November 2024, the BIR had already set up two camps in Nguti LGA Kupe Muanenguba County and Alou LGA in Lebialem County. Similarly, the elite force has been expanding its security presence in the Northern zone of Ambazonia In May 2024, the BIR established a command post in Bui County known as a land of no return to the occupier forces from Yaounde. The army has conducted several military offensives in this area, known as “Operation Bui Clean” which have met with very stiff resistance from the indomitable Bui Warriors of the Ambazonia State Army – ASA.
The conflict in the Southern Cameroons – Ambazonia began in 2017 when separatist armed groups launched attacks against an invading defense and security forces, dispatched by the colonial government in Yaounde to crackdown of the peace-loving and justice-seeking people of the Southern Cameroons only fighting to regain their fundamental rights trampled upon by Yaounde and Paris. The deployment of the BIR, the best-trained and best-equipped unit in the la republique du Cameroun military, has so far been unable for over eight years to clampdown on the ever-increasing zeal of the ASA to free homeland.
In fact, this senseless war declared on a peace-loving people just struggling to seek for their fundamentals rights from French Cameroon who have held them hostage in bondage for over six decades happens to be one of the most neglected conflicts in recent history.
