Osih meets Bello Bouba as calls for coalition echo ahead of October polls.
SDF chairman and Presidential candidate Osih Joshua, this Wednesday, met with Bello Bouba Maigari, leader of the UNDP party, in what the party describes as a ‘high-level’ meeting in Yaounde.
The meeting comes shortly after Bello Bouba cut ties with the ruling CPDM to contest the upcoming presidential elections.
Though details of the meeting are yet to be disclosed, pundits posit it is not unrelated to the clamour for a single opposition candidate ahead of the October polls.
The UNDP leader recently announced his intentions to step down from government as Minister of State for Tourism, calling for an opposition coalition to face the ruling party that has called the shots since the one-party era, with its 92-year-old leader, Paul Biya, presiding over the country for 42 years and counting.
