Cameroon’s post election protests: several deaths reported

News reachaeching Breaking News adds that another detainee just died in police custody and buried secretly in Douala as others suffer amputation after gunshots
A young man arrested during the post-election crackdown has reportedly died at the Ngoma prison in Douala, with his body secretly buried at the Bois des Singes cemetery
According to the same sources, another detainee suffered a severe gunshot wound that led to the amputation of his leg. Both incidents are said to be directly linked to the wave of arrests and violent repression carried out by security forces following the disputed October 12 presidential election.
Families of detainees accuse authorities of withholding information, conducting secret burials, and denying medical care to wounded prisoners — practices human rights defenders describe as clear violations of national and international law.
These latest revelations add to growing concerns over torture, extrajudicial killings, and incommunicado detentions across Cameroon as the post-election crisis deepens.
The atrocities in the Littoral Region are carried out under the authority of Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua the governor and his  direct Minat boss, Atanga Nji Paul who describes protesters as assailants under the influence of drugs.
