CAMEROUN: HATE SPEECH RISES AS ELECTIONS DRAW NEA

In the week, some mad fellows have been calling for genocide against the bamilekes. In the south, a chief destroys signposts of the MRC because he says it’s a bamileke party. Again a top cpdm militant called Arthur Meka told his tribesman not to endorse Kamto because he is bamileke. In all these the authorities are silent. As elections draw near it is evident the regime is sponsoring tribal tensions and hate speech. No other reason can explain why the authors of these violent tribal speeches are free. It’s not you and I to maintain law and order. It is the regime and when the regime is silent amidst such outrageous and dangerous declarations then know that the regime is the one playing the drums in the bush. While the seeds are being planted because the regime works on the premise that it will either remain in power forever or Cameroon will cease to exist, it becomes evident that at some point the genocide will actualize. You only harvest what you plant. You get what you wish sometimes
