France, France everywhere. France is the colonial pest that won’t leave Africans alone. 70 years after a so-called independence, one colonial pest refuses to leave the continent. Hardly do you hear of Germany, England, or Spain meddling in the daily affairs of Africans. We know they are still there in a disguised manner. But the outrageous, omniscient and nefarious presence of France warrants a collective and more determined effort of the African continent to get rid of this colonial pest definitely and decisively. As Cameroonians await October 2025 to effect change, troubling reports of the meddling attitude of the colonial pest, called France, to determine our destiny again are emerging. They fabricated and imposed Ahidjo by eliminating the actual heroes who fought and gave up their lives for our independence. When they were done with Ahidjo, they brought in Biya (a pure product moulded and indoctrinated in Paris) and kept him there for 43 years. Now the same colonial pest is sniffing, meddling, and scheming to determine and impose the third colonial governor in Cameroon. This should not happen. We no longer need the best pupil of France. We need the best pupil of the Cameroonian people. We don’t need a leader who “rendre compte” to France. We need a leader who gives account to the Cameroonian people. We need a leader, courageous enough to rip apart the colonial pacts, and seek an independent currency for the country or for the CEMAC zone. We need just everything but the sniffing, nauseous presence and meddling of this colonial parasite called France
