Global Reach: More Than 200 Media and Blogosphere Representatives Accredited to the World Public Assembly
More than 200 journalists and representatives of the blogosphere have already been accredited to cover the work of the First World Public Assembly (WPA). Correspondents from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America, including:
• Africa: Algeria, Gambia, Egypt, Zambia, Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, South Africa, Ghana.
• Asia: Bahrain, India, UAE, Pakistan, Tajikistan.
• Europe: Belarus, Russia, France, Serbia.
• Latin America: Venezuela, Cuba.
Among those accredited are representatives of public and private TV channels, news agencies, online publications, socio—political magazines, as well as press secretaries of public organizations and bloggers.
The large-scale forum, held for the first time, is dedicated to the idea of “A New World of Conscious Unity.” The Assembly’s press center constantly receives requests for interviews with key speakers. Foreign media show great interest not only in experts from their countries, but also in opinion leaders from other participating States.
A total of 4,000 people have registered for the Assembly to date. On September 20 and 21, more than 40 discussion platforms will be organized on the following topics: culture, education, science, youth policy, religious dialogue, social responsibility of business, tourism, sports and media.
“A new world begins where unity is established, where differences are not intimidated, but respected, where values are higher than differences, and cooperation is stronger than rivalry. The new world is a matter of common efforts. And it is being created here and now — together with you,” said Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly.
