Man Kidnaps Nephew, Demands FCFA 3 Million Ransom in Bafoussam
In a disturbing turn of events, a man in Bafoussam III was arrested after orchestrating the kidnapping of his seven-year-old nephew. The incident occurred on November 24th, when the man, along with armed accomplices, abducted the child and demanded a ransom of FCFA 3 million from the boy’s father, who resides in the United States.
Taking advantage of the parent’s absence, the kidnappers arrived on a motorbike and took the child to a secret location 15 kilometers from Baleng. The following day, the child’s caretaker received a chilling phone call demanding the ransom for the boy’s release.
The gendarmerie swiftly intervened, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
