The power of attorney was signed on December 20, 2024, at the PCC Synod office hall in Buea. The event was coordinated by former Cameroon Bar President, Barrister Eta Bissong, and attended by various church officials and members. This ceremony signifies the end of Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba’s 10-year tenure as Moderator and the beginning of Rev. Miki Hans Abia’s leadership.
Election and Background
Rev. Miki Hans Abia, the outgoing Synod Clerk, was elected as the 7th Moderator of the PCC on November 18, 2024, during a heated election that garnered wide media attention. He received 121 out of 123 votes, reflecting strong support from the church community. Rev. Ayuk Solomon Eta, who obtained 118 out of 123 votes, will serve as the new Synod Clerk. Both officials have extensive experience within the PCC, having served in various congregations for decades.
