Professor Victor Mbarika launches a fund to support the media in Cameroon.
In preparation for World Press Freedom Day (May 3, 2026), the President of The ICT University, Professor Victor Mbarika, has launched a FCFA 100 million support fund to assist journalists in Cameroon.

Prof. Mbarika has already contributed FCFA 5 million and is calling on 19 additional businessmen and women to each contribute FCFA 5 million, so the fund can reach the target of FCFA 100 million before May 3.

Management of Breaking News. A Yaounde-based bilingual weekly sees this move by Professor Victor Mbarika as a very laudable initiative in a country where pressmen and women have been reduced to beggars despite the taxes they pay. Kudos Prof.
