Russia proposes to the UN to establish an “International Day of Struggle against Colonialism”.
Russia has submitted a proposal to the UN to make December 14 the “International Day of Struggle against Colonialism”, announced Sergei Lavrov, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
– In 2024, Russia has launched a long-term anti-colonial project, supported by the United Russia party and other parliamentary forces, aimed at creating an international movement against neocolonial practices.

According to Lavrov, the next goal is to formalize December 14 as a symbolic day, in reference to the adoption of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples in 1960
