The place of an Ambazonian Candidate at the October Election in Cameroon
English-speaking presidential candidates must be part of a coalition that will clearly define a post-election platform that not only addresses the current crisis but spells out a clear path to its resolution. Venturing into this election solo while your backyard is decimated is such an embarrassment to logic and good intentions
If Francophones had just 5% of the Anglo-Saxon spirit, or the Anglo-Saxon perspective of leadership, the biya regime would have been history…. Unfortunately, the French colonialism sapped the very essence of “people’s assertion” from our brothers….They view leadership from an unconditional and wholly submissive perspective. When you hear Atango say “l,etat c, est un monstre froid,”…..he is simply reminding our francophone brothers of the outdated concept of state infallibility and omnipotence even in blatant illegality. That the state can never be questioned or held accountable in any circumstances. Francophones generally abide by this weird concept religiously. It is a symbol of pride to hear political parties declare with such skewed pride, “nous sommes un parti republicain. The concept of statehood was born to protect the rights of citizens and not to obliterate them. The state was created to ensure economic, social and political enhancement and not to deprive the people of all these. This retarded view of governance and leadership explains in startling simplicity the fact that in the whole CEMAC zone no democratic alternance has taken place for 70 years…….In this cemac zone, the southern Cameroons remains the lone star in a dark sky in terms of awareness as far as the citizen v state obligations are concerned..For the English-speaking presidential candidates, I see just one sensible option….Be part of a coalition that will clearly define a post-election platform that not only addresses the current crisis but spells out a clear path to its resolution.
