La Republique du Cameroun Weaponizes Law Against Southern Cameroonians – Ambazonians.
Two days ago Breaking News learned that Makatinews, a Bamenda-based news agency reported that 2 la Republique du Cameroun – LRC military personnel were sentenced 5 years each for selling arms to rubbers and armed persons etc, charges that qualify for treason in this context of the ongoing Southern Cameroons – Ambazonia war of independence
Meantime, innocent Southern Cameroonians – Ambazonians (men, women, doctors, journalists, teachers and clerics etc are slammed 25 years, 15 years. Recently 11 men and women collectively slammed 20 years for doing nothing but being who they are (Southern Cameroonians), caught in a crossfire of annexation and resistance.
Military men sworn by oath, perpetrate treason and receive 5 years
while victims of oppression and war get maximum sentences after
abduction, torture, lengthy litigations, and unlawful detention on trial.
This isn’t a double standard but obliteration and an attempt to
ethnically cleanse Southern Cameroons – Ambazonians by weaponizing LRC’s law.
International law is ignored and UN charters and Geneva conventions /protocols matter for nothing.
Ya Allah, as I close this Ramadan, bring Justice to the oppressed people
of Southern Cameroons.
The international system appears to be indifferent to the plight of
marginalized groups, suggesting that the existing legal framework may
be inherently flawed. It can be argued that the law disproportionately
favors those in positions of power, leaving vulnerable populations
susceptible to further victimization through the very laws intended to
protect them.
The conflict in the Southern Cameroons – Ambazonia began in 2016 but escalated in 2017 when separatist armed groups launched attacks against an invading defense and security forces, dispatched by the colonial government in Yaounde to crackdown on the peace-loving and justice-seeking people of the Southern Cameroons only fighting to regain their fundamental rights trampled upon by Yaounde and Paris. The deployment of the BIR, the best-trained and best-equipped unit in the la Republique du Cameroun military, has so far been unable for over eight years to clamp down on the ever-increasing zeal of the Ambazonia State Army – ASA to free the homeland.
This senseless war declared on a peace-loving people just struggling to free themselves from the yoke of colonization, annihilation, subjugation, and annexation from French Cameroon who has held them hostage in bondage for over six decades has claimed over 60.000 lives, burning over 500 homes and villages, sent millions into involuntary exile as refugees with thousands in dungeons happen to be one of the most neglected conflicts in recent history.
