Pope Leo XIV appoints Mgr Paul Nyaga, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Edea.
Pope Leon XIV has appointed Mgr Paul Nyaga, Secretary General of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Edea.
He will take over the management of the diocese after the retirement of Mgr Dieudonne Ntep, after several years of pastoral service.
The announcement was made this Thursday, June 4, in Yaoundé, during the 51st Ordinary Plenary Assembly of the Bishops of Cameroon. It was communicated by the President of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon, Mgr Andrew Nkea.
Born in 1959, Mgr Paul Nyaga has held the position of Secretary General of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon since April 2024. Before this function, he was the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Douala.
