The match saw Cameroon take an early lead with Vincent Aboubakar scoring in the 18th minute, followed by a second goal from Georges-Kevin N’Koudou in the 23rd minute. Zimbabwe pulled one back in the 73rd minute through Terrence Dzvukamanja, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
This victory secured Cameroon’s top spot in the group and highlighted their strong performance throughout the qualifiers. Despite the loss, Zimbabwe had already qualified for the finals and finished second in the group standings.
