Nalova Lyonga Saves Face, Intercedes for Bamenda

Nalova Lyonga, Minister of Secondary Education, a former student of CCAST Bambili, has finally visited Bamenda, amidst heavy criticism for seemingly ignoring the city since her appointment. During the Prime Minister’s visit, Lyonga stood up for Bamenda in an unexpected manner, while others talked elaborately, with a frown on her face, she was brief. After listening to projections and promising projects from the PPRD team, she made a declaration:

“We must stop making empty promises. Talking about roads everywhere is pointless if what we deliver is substandard. We cannot afford a situation where a road is tarred today only to deteriorate within two months or vanish altogether. Our commitment must be to say what we can do and do what we say. This is the only way to restore trust and ensure real development.”
