Ibrahim Mounir, in his thirties, was arrested by the Gendarmerie after defrauding multiple individuals by renting and subsequently stealing event equipment. He was apprehended at the Overline agency in Yaoundé while attempting to retrieve items he had shipped from Bertoua. The Gendarmerie seized a significant amount of stolen equipment, including tents, heating pots, centerpieces, dishes, fans, and music equipment. Mounir had multiple national identity cards, one of which bore the name Baney Kamoue Junior Raphael. He claimed he intended to start an event planning business using the stolen equipment
