Three suspects were recently arrested in the Mvan neighborhood in Yaoundé. They were found in possession of the complete remains of an individual and were aged between 25 and 30. The suspects were apprehended as they were leaving Maroua. Upon investigation, authorities discovered nearly 30 stripped graves in a cemetery in Pouss, a village located in the Maga district, Mayo-Danay department, Far North region.
The seized skeleton, valued at six million francs, was intended for an expatriate buyer. It was revealed that the bones were meant to be used in the production of a hard drug known as “pebble”, which sells for 75,000 francs per gram. The suspects are scheduled to be presented before the prosecutor of the Republic in the coming days.
