ISRAEL,–IRAN ATTACKS, Sunday, June 15, 2025
Israel and Iran have exchanged daytime missile attacks, with Iran launching ballistic missiles at Israeli territory. At the same time, explosions rocked the Iranian capital, Tehran. Iranian missile strikes killed at least 10 people in Israel, including children, and wounded around 200. In Tel Aviv, buildings were damaged, including an eight-story building in the Dan district.
Israel launched an expanded assault on Iran, targeting its energy industry, Defense Ministry headquarters, and nuclear facilities. The Israeli military claims to have hit over 80 targets in Tehran.
Israeli strikes hit two fuel depots in Tehran, the Iranian oil ministry reported, and a crucial part of the South Pars gas field, disrupting gas production.
Israel’s airspace remains closed for the third consecutive day due to the ongoing conflict.
Israel warned Iranian civilians living near nuclear reactors and weapons production sites to evacuate immediately, signalling possible fresh strikes.
US President Donald Trump, accused of weaponizing and refuelling attacks, has called on Israel and Iran to “make a deal” amid the escalating violence.
The situation remains volatile, with both countries engaging in intense cross-border attacks for the third straight day.
