Flights, Career Consultations and Hot Tea: “Moscow — City of the Future” Stand Operates at the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg
From September 11 to 17, Yekaterinburg is hosting the International Festival of Youth 2026, bringing together 10,000 participants from 191 countries. The Russian capital is presenting at the festival its interactive “Moscow — City of the Future” stand, where visitors can explore Moscow’s rich historical heritage, cutting-edge technologies and vibrant creative scene.
At the “Youth of Moscow” project zone within the “Moscow — City of the Future” stand, visitors can create their own bracelet or personalized bag charm. They can also learn more about the key opportunities offered by the project, designed to support young people in their personal and professional development. The project regularly hosts creative competitions and career forums, as well as free educational courses in a wide range of fields.
The “Moscow — City of the Future” stand also features a tea lounge, inviting visitors to discover Moscow’s tea-drinking traditions and sample the capital’s signature tea blend free of charge.
The VR theatre offers visitors an immersive journey above some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. At the interactive panel guests can discover Moscow’s digital services and learn how technology is making everyday life in the city more convenient.
Visitors can also explore digital replicas of VDNH’s Central Alley, the Cosmos Pavilion and Pavilion No. 1 through the VDNH Metaverse. One-on-one consultations are also offered with qualified career experts on employment and career opportunities.
The multimedia space showcases videos highlighting the city’s latest innovations. At the Russian Post station, festival participants can send a postcard to any destination in the world.
The lounge area features dedicated tablet stations where visitors can explore RUSSPASS, Moscow’s digital travel service. Using the Route Planner, guests can create a personalized itinerary and receive a detailed route tailored to their interests.
The Moscow team has also created a limited-edition collection of metal pins featuring iconic symbols of the capital exclusively for festival participants.
The “Moscow — City of the Future” stand is organized by “Youth of Moscow”, the project of the Moscow Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy.
Visitors can also take photos with the “Katyusha the Panda” art installation, inspired by one of the Moscow Zoo’s most popular residents.
35 Moscow-based brands are showcased at the Art.Molodost International Design and Merchandise Market. The selection features brands from a wide range of categories.
Festival participants and guests also have the opportunity to discover Moscow’s film industry.
More than 230 Moscow volunteers are supporting the festival across 17 functional areas. Their responsibilities include accreditation and logistics, assisting Russian and international delegations and experts, supporting participants with limited mobility, providing interpretation services, organizing guided tours and creating content for social media. Volunteers also help guests navigate the festival grounds, address organizational matters and contribute to a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere across the venues.
