Authorities have apprehended a separatist gang suspected of terrorizing Bamenda’s Nkwen neighborhood. The operation, carried out on the night of January 18, 2025, led to the deaths of three members of the gang and the capture of six others. The gang was linked to several recent attacks, including the killing of John Paul, a shareholder of the Nso Boyz transport agency, and the tragic death of 35-year-old Ndzikem Carine. The authorities discovered a large cache of sophisticated weapons and marijuana, believed to be part of the gang’s illicit activities. This operation marks a significant success in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and security to the region.
