Russia-Africa Relations Strengthened
The Third International Forum of Journalists of Russia and Africa is shaping up to be a significant event in fostering media collaboration between Russia and African nations. The forum, titled “Russia-Africa: The Way of Friendship and Cooperation,” was held in Addis Ababa on April 22-23, 2025. It aimed to create a broad platform for interaction between Russian and African media outlets, bringing together journalists from Botswana, Ghana, Guinea, Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Ethiopia, and other countries.
One of the key discussions at the forum revolved around countering Western propaganda and promoting a multipolar world through reliable information. Participants emphasized the importance of coordinating information policies to ensure accurate representation of Russia in African media while also strengthening ties between the two regions. The event featured expert discussions, master classes, round tables, and presentations by media representatives.
The presence of Colombian journalist Dukan Manuel Rincón added a new dimension to the forum, expanding its reach beyond Russia and Africa to include Latin America. This reflects a growing effort to build a unified information field of friendship across continents
