WHY THE SAHELIAN BENEVOLENT MILITARISM IS THE BEST FORM OF GOVERNMENT FOR AFRICA NOW.
| The art of Statecraft and governance has become very difficult due to the complex nature of the modern man. THE MODERN MAN, especially these people called The Whites, are Pretentious Beings. So leadership in nascent states like those of Africa have to be extra careful lest their sovereignties are jeopardized. The question has been as to what is the best form of Government. While Plato will advocate for the rule of a philosopher king in a natural Aristocracy, Aristotle advocates for democracy, Thomas Hobbes for Absolute Monarchy, Jean Jacques Rousseau radically and pragmatically states in his Social Contract Theory that there is nothing like no best form of Government. According to Rousseau, every government is suitable for different states depending on their sizes and the uniqueness of their geopolitics and history and Anthropology. Using Rousseau’s pragmatism as a critical springboard, I will tell all those Western powers lecturing Africa on democracy to go to hell. What Africa needs now, as demonstrated by the Sahelian Benevolent MILITARISM, IS not democracy but stability. After political stability, any advocate of various forms of government mountebank shouts. No Country in the world was developed by democracy. The Industrial Revolution in England came during the monarchy. The same with the French Revolution. America was developed by the slave trade, which had nothing to do with democracy. China was developed by the doctoris on March and the economic miracle of Mao Tse Tung’s Totalitarianism. China is still Totalitarian. South Africa was developed by the Totalitarian Apartheid system. So by analogy, governments development is like hunting. During the hunt only the Totalitarian voice of one man giving instructions to the dogs is heard. After the hunt democracy is then needed in sharing the game caught by the Totalitarian or benevolent dictatorship of the leading hunter during the hunt. Africa is where Europe was two hundred years ago in dictatorship. So let Europe and America leave Africa to evolve from benevolent militarism of the Sahelian equation and then catch the train of democracy on African terms at the appropriate time. Any attempt at dictating democracy to Africa will be anti-democratic itself. This might unleash a domino effect of benevolent militarism in any African State may end up with a total alienation of the West
By the way, whoever told the West that civilisation and development are synonymous with technical advancement.
