“Game Changer” Barrister Mbah Eric Remains Cameroon’s Bar President
✓After the 2025 Cameroon Lawyers’ elective convention Elected overwhelmingly by the Cameroon College of Lawyers, who for two days gathered at the Yaounde multipurpose sports complex to decide on the fate of their new leadership on the 15th to the 16th of July. History has it on good authority that Barrister Mbah Eric, former President of the Cameroon Bar Association, has been reelected to take another two-year mandate to complete the Bar Secretariat project he commenced early this year. Barrister Mbah Eric’s reelection at this crucial point in time in the political history of Cameroon is a clear indication that Cameroon Lawyers hold him in high esteem for his huge investments and realizations in the Cameroon Bar. Barrister Mbah Eric’s past two years at the helm of the Cameroon Bar have been very instrumental and transformative, given that he has fought earnestly for the upgrade of lawyers’ status, the rights and placement of common law, organized one of the most successful and transparent Bars and above all, is building the Cameroon Bar Association’s Secretariat. These good works and realizations of Team Mbah Eric could not escape the memories of Cameroon Lawyers soon. Which is why they had to reaffirm their confidence in him. Barrister Mbah Eric’s reelection is clear testimony that good work pays and genuine realizations gain favour. Which is all the more reason why some of the standing orders of the house could not overshadow his victory. Victory, which this Reporter must emphasize is historic and a lifetime achievement for a lawyer who believes in himself and has always stood up for what is rightfully his, “a go getter”. Barrister Mbah Eric is a seasoned, accomplished lawyer, a product of the then Yaounde University. His reelection repeats what happened in Cameroon Bar history 25 years ago. |
