Hundreds of Anglican Priests have converted to Catholicism as Anglicanism in the UK is collapsing.
Since the 1990s, with a recent 2025 study revealing around 700 former clergy (including 16 bishops) have joined, accounting for roughly a third of new Catholic priests in England & Wales during that period, driven by disillusionment with Anglican changes like women’s ordination.
