WICCUL To Hold 2025 AGM Amid Achievements Within Few Years Of Existence

The Wimbum Cooperative Credit Union Limited, WICCUL, is poised to hold its 2025 Annual General Meeting, AGM, amid remarkable achievements and successes, despite barely a few years of existence. The AGM will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Bamenda.
In a WICCUL-Media partnership meeting on March 07, 2026, WICCUL officials and media men and women proposed strategies and methods that would bring growth to the Credit Union.
Present from the WICCUL office were some top officials, including the Board President, Ta Nformi Abanda Alphonse; the General Manager, Dilane Nahyem; Supervisory Board Member, Tinku Godwin; and Finance Strategist, Mbanwe Frederick, amongst others.
After hours of brainstorming, the partnership meeting made salient proposals which the management took note of, and said it would implement them so as to experience the desired growth for WICCUL in the months and years ahead.
Announcement of AGM
In his preliminary statement at the WICCUL-Media partnership meeting, the Board President of WICCUL, Ta Nformi Abanda, announced the holding of the 2025 AGM on March 14, 2026, at the premises of the Cameroon Baptist Convention, CBC headquarters, in Nkwen, Bamenda.
General Manager’s Intervention
In his intervention at the meeting, the General Manager, GM, of WICCUL, Dilane Nahyem, presented a positive balance sheet of WICCUL from inception to date. He said WICCUL was conceived and created in 2022, with the main objective to alleviate poverty in communities and individual homes of members by way of granting microloans and receiving deposits for economic sustainability.
Achievements
The GM presented statistics that showed steady growth of WICCUL from 2022 to 2026. He cited a consistent growth in membership and savings as follows: 45 members in 2022 saved FCFA 4.9 Million; 145 members in 2023 saved FCFA 27.9 Million; 246 members in 2024 saved FCFA 56.4 Million, and 331 members in 2025 saved FCFA 58.4 Million. The GM said that as of the first quarter of 2026, the membership of WICCUL stands at 345, with savings standing at FCFA 64.7 Million.
According to the GM, as at first quarter of 2026, the loan given out to members in diverse domains stands at FCFA 78 Million.
Envisaged Expansion
In the area of expansion, the GM said WICCUL operates a satellite office in Bafoussam in the West Region, with other offices envisaged for other towns, including Buea, Nkambe, Ndu and Douala.
