MOSCOW, May 5. /TASS/. Organizers expect about 500 media representatives from around the world at the International Youth Festival, which will take place from September 11 to 17 in Yekaterinburg, TASS reports, citing the press service of Rosmolodezh (the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs).
Accreditation for Russian and international media and bloggers is open from May 5 to July 17.
According to Dmitry Ivanov, Director General of the World Youth Festival Directorate, an international media center will be set up to cover the festival’s events. “At least 500 media representatives from around the world are expected at the festival,” he said.
Journalists will be provided with workspaces, rest areas, daily press briefing and press conference zones, and special studios for recording interviews. Media representatives will also have access to transportation within Yekaterinburg and meals at the festival venue.
“We see a high level of interest in the International Youth Festival from both Russian and foreign media and bloggers. It’s important for us not just to invite the media community, but to create the most comfortable and professional working conditions at the festival venue. All accredited participants will get expanded access to key events, the opportunity to engage with leading speakers, and direct interaction with participants from different countries,” Ivanov was quoted as saying.
The International Youth Festival will bring together 10,000 young leaders — 5,000 from Russia and 5,000 from foreign countries. The festival will also include 1,000 teenagers aged 14 to 17: 500 from Russia and 500 from abroad. A volunteer corps of 2,000 people will assist. The festival will be held under the motto: “Follow your dream. With Russia.”
