Buckingham Palace paid tribute to Dolly Parton in one of the most fitting ways possible.
Music.
During the Changing of the Guard, the Band of the Coldstream Guards performed an instrumental version of her iconic hit “9 to 5” outside the palace.
The Royal Family then shared footage of the performance online, honoring Dolly’s decades-long career and the joy she brought to millions around the world.
Their message also highlighted her Imagination Library, which has given hundreds of millions of free books to children.
And it ended with a perfect tribute to another of her most famous songs:
“We will always you.”
Dolly had a long connection with the Royal Family and even performed during Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee celebrations in 1977.
Nearly 50 years later, her music was playing outside Buckingham Palace once again.
This time, in her honor
Buckingham Palace paid tribute to Dolly Parton in one of the most fitting ways possible.
