Cameroon’s Thieving Director of Salaries now has 97 more years in prison
Former Salary Director Who Embezzled 218 Billion Is Now Left With 97 Years in Jail.
The former Director of Salaries in the Ministry of Finance in Cameroon, Emmanuel Lebou, has already served 9 years at the Kondegui Maximum Security Prison in Yaounde out of 104. He was jailed in 2019 by the Special Criminal Court in Yaounde, after being found guilty, for creating 2601 fake salary accounts, worth 1.8 billion FCFA per month.
The fake accounts which ran for a period of 10 years,had. accumulated FCFA 218 BILLION.
Money that could run 30 Ministries in Cameroon.
Although sentenced to 104 years, he maintained that he was not guilty.
