Ghana reports South Africa to the African Union for human rights Abuse
Ghana has taken a bold step by reporting South Africa to the African Union over a series of attacks targeting African migrants
Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is calling on the AU to champion the cause of human rights and African unity at its upcoming meeting in Egypt, emphasising that the attacks not only violate the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights but also threaten the spirit of free movement under the AfCFTA, while South Africa maintains that the incidents are isolated protests rather than targeted attacks on foreign nationals
