Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno Writes to Paul Biya
Ngoh Ngoh received a sealed message meant for Biya
The Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, has received a sealed envelope containing a message meant for President Paul Biya.
The message was handed to him by the Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul, on Friday afternoon.
According to the large Chadian delegation that flew to Yaoundé, the sealed envelope came directly from their president, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.
“Mandated by the President of the Republic, Head of State, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, the Chadian Foreign Minister carried a personal message, in a sealed envelope, addressed to his Cameroonian counterpart, His Excellency Paul Biya, President of the Republic of Cameroon,” the Chadian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
President Paul Biya, to whom the message has been addressed, is nowhere to be found in Yaoundé.
He has spent 41 days in Geneva, Switzerland, in what his civil cabinet described as a “brief private stay.”
To date, it remains unclear when he will return.
