Winning Elections is the Best way to honour Fru Ndi, Osih Joshua
The city of Bamenda has hosted the first National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) party for the first time in years.
The event, held this Saturday, June 13, was the first time the NEC was meeting at its birthplace, Bamenda, since the death of the SDF’s founding chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi, in June 2023.
Party Chairman, Hon Joshua Osih, used the event to galvanize members to prepare for next year’s municipal and legislative elections, stating that winning elections is the best way to honor Fru Ndi’s legacy.
The meeting brought together senior party officials from across the country to deliberate on key political and organizational issues ahead of the local elections.
Among the main items on the agenda was the development of strategies to increase the party’s representation in the forthcoming legislative and municipal elections.
Party leaders also reviewed the current political landscape and discussed measures to strengthen grassroots mobilization and party structures nationwide.
The meeting came at a crucial time as political parties begin positioning themselves for the next electoral cycle in Cameroon.
