The National Communication Council has slapped a three-month suspension on a journalist from a private media house, over a report deemed to have undermined the dignity of a lawyer. At the same time, the Director General of the television station has been issued a warning.
The sanctions were announced this Thursday in Yaounde, during the 51st Ordinary Session of the Council, where the Council President, Joseph Chebonkeng Kalabubse, also addressed advertising practices prohibited under Cameroon’s law governing the advertising of medicines, health facilities and medical practices.
