RUSSIA – AFRICA SUMMIT
On Wednesday, October 28, African leaders will begin a two-day summit in Russia’s capital, Moscow.
They will chart ways in which Russia can help strengthen the development of the continent.
However, these summits, where the US, Russia, China, and Indonesia will sit and summon an entire continent, are raising concerns among Africans.
Africa is home to vast mineral resources, yet it continues to depend on handouts from other countries for its development.
This year’s Russia summit is being attended by representatives, while key African leader Ibrahim Traoré will not be attending.
