AN ANGLOPHONE PRESIDENT FOR CAMEROON
I have said it before. I say it again today.
And I reaffirm that THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON WILL BE AN ANGLOPHONE; yes, I mean from Southern Cameroon.
This is not a threat.
It is not a wish nor a negotiation. It is the natural course of justice and history.
In good faith and in the spirit of nation building, leaders such as John Ngu Foncha, Solomon Tandeng Muna, Augustine Ngom Jua, and many others embraced the vision of a united Cameroon. They did so believing in partnership, mutual respect, and shared destiny.
For decades, generations of Anglophones have continued to carry the burden of that vision. Men and women from our community, from every political persuasion, have invested their energy, loyalty, sacrifices, and commitment in keeping the union alive. Today, the Atanga Nji, Dion Ngute, Mafany Musonge, and many others stand as testimony to that enduring commitment.
But let it be understood, an Anglophone presidency is not a favour to Southern Cameroonians, not even an act of charity or compensation.
It is the fulfilment of a promise and the logical expression of equality and justice.
There will be no retreat.
There will be no surrender.
There will be no backing down.
If you doubt it, live long enough to witness it.
