Revisiting the All Anglophone Conferences and the far-reaching resolutions thereof, is there a need for another survey on self-determination?

Call for Massive Participation of every Southern Cameroonian/Ambazonian.

Some 5 years ago, The Late Christian Cardinal Tumi led a survey to understand the perceptions of Southern Cameroonians/Ambazonians vis-à-vis the conflict in their homeland. This was later followed by another survey led by veteran journalist Mr Victor Epie Ngome.

Both surveys found that in spite of the conflict and hardships, a majority of Anglophones/Southern Cameroonians/Ambazonians favoured separation from La République du Cameroun, followed by those who favoured a return to the 1961 Federal dispensation.

After 7 years of the conflict still raging, are the sentiments still the same?

The Southern Cameroons Alliance is conducting another survey both at home and abroad, which we hope will shed light on the present situation.

Comment:

When the battle lines have already been drawn for several years most especially in the year-old war of independence, this can only be one of those very big distractions in a people’s genuine quest for freedom

The AAC II declaration was a precursor of things to come. It was completely ignored by President Biya. Lest we forget – The Buea Declaration of the All Anglophone Conference-I (1993) – The Force of Argument, Not the Argument of Force including AACII Resolutions

THE BUEA DECLARATION AND AACII

Issued by the ALL ANGLOPHONE CONFERENCE

Held At Buea On 2nd and 3rd April 1993.
