CAMEROON NATIONAL ASSEMBLY: 344 FICTITIOUS WORKERS DISMISSED
The President of the National Assembly, Théodore Datouo, has reportedly dismissed 344 workers following the results of an internal audit.
Reports say the audit found that the affected staff did not have valid employment contracts with the institution, raising concerns about irregular recruitment and documentation issues.
The decision came after a review exercise carried out months after he assumed leadership, which uncovered what authorities described as serious administrative gaps in staff records.
A good move to clean up the system a bit, but how did such a large number of workers get employed without proper contracts in the first place?
