The objective of this collaboration is to improve the grinding capacities of the Cameroonian company currently estimated at 300 tonnes per hour. In Cameroon, the mining company G-Stones, a subsidiary of the Cameroonian conglomerate Bocom, signed a contract with the Chinese Shanghai SBM, a mining and construction machinery company based in China, for the construction of a mobile crusher of a capacity of 1000 tonnes per hour at the Bipindi-Grand Zambi iron mine in the Southern region. This was recently revealed by the Cameroonian Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development (Minmidt). According to government information, this contract aims to improve the grinding capacities of the Cameroonian company responsible for exploiting this deposit, on the ground since June 2023 and holding the operating permit since November 29, 2022. The details within the framework of this contract are not revealed by the public authorities, even less the financing necessary to mobilize for the implementation of this project. However, the number of jobs created is estimated at 3,500. Indeed, this newly announced device should allow G-Stones to be more efficient in the crushing operation of extracted iron ores to facilitate their transport.
