CAMEROON’S PARLIAMENTARY AND MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
Opposition parties take note. Until the CPDM puts in place mechanisms that will ensure they come out victorious, there will be no elections. Period. The CPDM has already laid the “legal” framework that grants them total control of the electoral calendar, and until they are assured the results will favor them, there will be no elections. Many other measures are upcoming, like the remapping of constituencies, the reallocation of seats, based on a virtual census ongoing, that will be tailored to permit the arbitrary allocations of seats as would grant them a technical advantage from the onset and the remapping of council areas. Let’s keep dreaming about a democracy that does not exist
