Mbankomo: Pierre Essomba Onana launches wants to register 3000 young people on the electoral lists

Mbankomo: Pierre Essomba Onana launches wants to register 3000 young people on the electoral lists In Mbankomo, a significant political movement is underway as Pierre Essomba Onana, the president of the Youth Organization of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Rally (OJRDPC) for Mefou and Akono North Mbankomo, has initiated a campaign to register 3000 young people on the electoral lists. This initiative aligns with the broader objectives of the RDPC and reflects a strategic effort to engage youth in the democratic process ahead of the presidential election slated for 2025.

The campaign, announced during the celebration of the 39th anniversary of the RDPC on March 24, 2024, underscores the importance of youth participation in electoral processes. It is a response to the call from the party’s central committee, which has emphasized the need for continuous improvement of Cameroon’s electoral system and active youth enrollment in political units for the year 2024.

Pierre Essomba Onana’s approach is multifaceted, involving sensitization of stakeholders, formal identification of party militants for enrollment, verification of electoral lists, and representation of the party’s interests in local electoral list revision commissions. The operation aims to ensure the presence of dynamic comrades who facilitate communication between these bodies and various party organs, assist in the retrieval of voting cards, and maintain control over the political register and voter files.

This initiative is not only about bolstering the RDPC’s position in Mbankomo but also about strengthening democracy by encouraging eligible young voters to participate actively in the electoral process. The success of this campaign could set a precedent for other regions and contribute to the political empowerment of Cameroon’s youth.

The significance of this movement lies in its potential to shape the future political landscape of Cameroon. By engaging young people, who often feel alienated from traditional politics, the RDPC is taking steps to include them in the democratic dialogue, thereby fostering a more inclusive and representative political environment.

The efforts of Pierre Essomba Onana and the OJRDPC in Mbankomo serve as a reminder of the critical role that youth play in the democratic process and the importance of their inclusion for the stability and peace of the nation. As Cameroon prepares for the upcoming presidential election, the eyes of the country will be on initiatives like these that seek to engage and empower the next generation of voters.

On March 24, the president of the section of the Youth Organization of the Democratic Rally of the Cameroonian People (OJRDPC) of Mefou and Akono Nord Mbankomo announced that he intends to register several thousand young people for the presidential election planned for 2025.Mbankomo : Pierre Essomba Onana lance veut inscrire 3000 jeunes sur les listes électorales

The section of the Youth Organization of the Democratic Rally of the Cameroonian People (OJRDPC) of Mefou and Akono Nord Mbankomo is hard at work for the next presidential election, scheduled for 2025. To do so, its president Pierre Arnaud Essomba Onana Lance launched the 3000 Registered-Young People operation in his constituency. The announcement was made during the celebration of the 39th anniversary of the CPDM, on March 24, 2024, in Mbankomo. “We are convinced that our democracy will remain standing if we encourage young people of voting age to register to vote. Let us not forget, the merit of such an initiative will go to our party which during the next electoral contests will be ready to support its candidate, Paul Biya in 2025 so that the RDPC reigns in Mbankomo”, explained Pierre Arnaud Onana Essomba attached to the telephone. He also took advantage of the same opportunity to launch an appeal to the elites of his district to support him in this process. “I am launching a vibrant appeal to all the elites of the Mbankomo district for any support aimed at ensuring the success of this important activity,” he added, aware of the difficulties that the OJRDPC section may encounter in carrying out to complete this operation. This initiative is in line with the will of the supreme authorities of the CPDM. On January 10, the secretary general of the Central Committee of the Rdpc, Jean Nkuété sent a circular letter to all the heads of permanent regional and departmental delegations of the Central Committee of the Rdpc, as well as to the presidents of the section offices, under sections, basic committees and cells Rdpc, Ofrdpc and Ojrdpc prescribing them measures to take, to ensure a successful operation of revision of the electoral lists in their respective political units, for the account of the year 2024. While taking into account the imperative of continuous improvement of the electoral system of Cameroon, the Secretary-General instructs these officials of the Party at the base, to carry out these enrollment operations in the best interest of the Democratic Rally of the Cameroonian People (Rdpc). Therefore, following this circular from the Central Committee, Pierre Arnaud Onana Essomba intends to proceed through several stages: raising awareness among the various stakeholders about the work that is expected of them; “formally” identifying the activists to be enrolled; checking the electoral lists; and represent the party, “because the interests of the Party must be safeguarded in the various local commissions for the revision of electoral lists through the presence of dynamic comrades, who ensure the shuttle between these bodies and the offices of the different bodies, facilitate the withdrawal of maps and ensure control of the political register as well as the voters’ file,” he concluded.
