The new CEO of TotalEnergies Marketing Congo, Anne Marie Kameni, was presented on July 30, 2024, in Brazzaville to the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Bruno Jean Richard Itoua. After serving for nearly four years at the oil and gas multinational in CAR, between 2020 and 2024, the Cameroonian will use her 25 years of experience on the banks of the Congo River to supervise and continue the projects of the subsidiary of the French giant responsible for distribution in this country.

Presented to the Congolese authorities by her predecessor Grégory Poetschke, Anne Marie Kameni will have to ensure the regular supply of petroleum products to the country, strengthen the security of the downstream installations of this marketing branch of the French group as well as the security of the stores. In her specifications, the next three years will be marked by the continuation of the modernization of the installations, in particular the vast network of the operator’s service stations which will also have to be extended to face the competition.

The group, which has been operating in the distribution of petroleum products in Congo since 2002, has developed the largest and most modern network in the country with 50 service stations, including 18 in Brazzaville and 14 in Pointe-Noire. A market that the Frenchman shares with five other petroleum product distribution companies, including Afric’, Puma Congo, SNAT, X-OIL and the public distributor SNPC Distribution, which relies on a network of 26 service stations across the country.

Beyond that, the former CEO of TotalEnergies Marketing RCA will also have to ensure that a peaceful social climate is preserved. Because, in Congo, the strong presence of the group’s petrol stations and the diversity of services offered by the distributor has encouraged the creation of nearly 700 jobs directly linked to its activities in the country. Activities supplemented by a range of services ranging from car maintenance to shops, lubricants, fast food outlets, solar lamps, etc.

The new CEO of TotalEnergies Marketing Congo, who is in her second international position in the network of the marketing branch of the French group, learned her trade at Elf Oil Cameroun, the ancestor of the French giant, as a Network sales representative between July 1997 and February 2000. She later became a Network sales representative and climbed the ranks within the company. This is how she became, between 2008 and 2011, customer service manager and, between July 2011 and February 2015, she was promoted to marketing director of the subsidiary in Cameroon. Before being appointed head of TotalEnergies Marketing RCA in December 2020, she spent 19 months in the position of Network director, still in Cameroon.
