7 African countries have so far qualified for the knockout stage of the World Cup:

– Cabo Verde
– Ghana
– South Africa
– Morocco
– Côte d’Ivoire
– Egypt
South Africa reached the knockout stage for the first time in their history after defeating South Korea. Cabo Verde, in their World Cup debut, also advanced. Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, and Morocco progressed as group runners-up, while Senegal and Ghana qualified through results in their respective groups.
With a record ten African teams at this year’s expanded tournament, seven have already moved into the knockout phase. Algeria and DR Congo are still fighting for progression.
The Round of 32 begins on June 28.”
